The Doctors appointment

I hurt my back in some misterious way whist at a teachers dinner. After going to my normal everyday Hapkido class and warming up something didn't feel right when I had to do sit-ups. That night was hell. I couldn't move at all. Everytime I turn it's like a knife strikes my spine.

Doctor it is!!!

I looked for a physiotherapist and decided just to ask the hospital in town. I walk into the hospital to the receptionist and said "Back hurts; physiotherapist?" Here the receptionist starts opeing a file for me, ask me for my ARC card and my cellphone number and sends me into the GP's office. Language barrier problem nr 1.

So I thought "OKAY, lets ask the Doctor. Maybe he knows some english." I was wrong! Here I sit in the doctors office and I haven't even said a word and there he sends me off to X-rays. And as language barriers go the radiologist takes X-rays of the wrong part of my back. My lower back. The pain is in my upper back.

Long story short. After X-rays and an injection later I didn't figure out what exactly happened to my back. The Doctor said I have scoliosis which I already knew and a stretched spine.

The best part of the whole ordeal was I only paid R80.
YAY!!!
