Count, Breathe, Kick, Fall, Role and repeat!
I started Hapkido this week. It was one of the things I wanted to achieve this year and now I'm on the way to glory. Not only will I get my strength back but I will also be able to defend myself. You see....
After my mugging ordeal I was so shocked. I have never felt so vulnerable and hopeless in my life ever before. In South Africa you cannot say "It won't happen to me" anymore. You are naive to say that. It's sad but it's true. And although I had a Father who protected me since the day I was born some things just happens to good people. So I decided to take matters in my own hands and train myself to be able to at least break free and kick the guy in the "you know where". Yes I will do that. It's sometimes necessary to just show a man who is trying to hurt you to sod off.

With that I'm running so that I can get away faster and not me tired halfway through the fight. Fighting is exhausting. And besides for all the fight I really just want to get my sexy body I once had back. The one I had before discovering Mac Donald's and Castle beer. The struggles is real. So I made it my mission this year.
I am competitive and I want to be independent even physical although I do know that you will not be able to save yourself always but you can at least try, right?
I got my suit for free with my name on it. It's customised and I LOVE it.
After my first two classes doing falls, kicks, dives and backflips, everything is sore especially my triceps and my shoulders....
