"Pleasure may come from illusion but happiness can come only from reality" - Unknown
This weekend I invited a bunch of my friends for a visit to the Trick Eye museum. I knew we were going to take a lot of photos but I didn't expect it to be that much. It was almost impossible not to take pictures at every single art piece because it was just so good.
The museum is in the university town, Hongdae. After a little search and first walking past it we found it, bought our tickets and entered the museum. It was quite expensive but I guess the artists have to get paid as well. There was something for everyone. For some pictures we had to use our imagination a little more than in others which really added to the fun. Almost all of us were teachers in Elementary and Middle school and as teachers go we have to be creative but at this museum our creativity were on a whole new level. It was fantastic to see and it caused a lot of laughter.
We also got entry into the Ice sculpture museum which was pretty cool. At first I kind of dared everyone to enter without our coats and man-up but when we saw that it was in actual fact -6˚C inside we started thinking maybe we should get our coats afterall. It was quite iced up inside and going in with heels didn't seem like the brightest idea but I couldn't take it off either so in heels a gallivanted inside. Beca and I entered an igloo and I literally slipped and fell on my arse. I couldn't stop myself from laughing; it was just too funny. There was a slide built inside which I had to do. The staircase to the top was a little scary as it was made out of ice blocks but hey, where there is a will there is a way.
After all the posing, smiling and laughing we went to a pub called Shamrock for some refreshments. It was well needed. The stories around the table made me laugh so much that my stomach muscles started aching. It was awesome hanging out with the bunch.
Once again I realised but it doesn't matter where in life I'll be I will never forget the people I met this year. Each and every one of them brought something special to my life and made Korea an unforgettable time.
